So much food!
It's been a busy past couple of days with Kewal from my work coming to visit for about a week. We've been to MoMA (the Museum of Modern Art), Macys and Bloomies and quite a few other places hunting for clothes and digital cameras but mostly we've been eating and drinking (I blame him entirely for keeping us out until 3am last Sunday night....)
We've been back to Mercadito for some Mexican tapas veggie style, Paquitos for some tex-mex, Houstons for burgers, a nice little Italian on the upper west side where Kewal's friend Jeanette lives, Veneiros for cheesecake, Sugar Sweet Sunshine for cupcakes of course... the list goes on and on.
Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures.. .think we were too busy eating and drinking to remember to take any...

Sugar Sweet Sunshine cupcakes
After seeing those yummy cupcakes last week (and not actually having any, tsk, tsk!) we decided we'd better go back and try some:
We had the red velvet cupcake with vanilla buttercream and a chocolate cupcake with chocolate almond buttercream. Wow, they were amazing. Having done some reading it seems that most New Yorkers rate Sugar Sweet Sunshine cupcakes a lot higher than Magnolia Bakery (apparently the quality at Magnolia dive bombed after they were made famous on Sex and the City).
